The Career Pathways Training Program is dedicated to supporting those seeking to help others through a career in healthcare and matching them with local NY employers who need skilled and compassionate professionals. Ultimately, their goal is to strengthen the healthcare workforce in New York by investing in your healthcare education.

Mildred Elley’s partnership with  the Career Pathway Training (CPT) Program means that approved applicants for the Practical Nursing Certificate (LPN) and Clinical Medical Assistant Certificate (CMA) program can look forward to fully covered financial support for tuition and books, leaving no student debt for program-related expenses. This comprehensive support extends to career prep assistance, job placement assistance, and personal support with a case specialist so you can focus on reaching your career goals.

Requirements for Eligibility

Applicants must be US citizens and New York State residents. If an applicant is a resident of a bordering state, they must be currently employed by a NY State provider. Participants must commit to completing their certificate at Mildred Elley by Spring, 2027, and then must be employed by an approved NYS Medicaid-enrolled provider for 3 years until 2031.

*To be eligible for CPT funding, applicants must enroll in one of 13 approved health, behavioral health, and social care careers fields, meet residency and financial aid requirements, and must complete program with earned licensure and agree to 3 year service commitment working for a Healthcare/ Social Service Employer in a 30% Medicaid Catchment Area. A degree must be completed by Spring 2027, with service commitment by 2031.
